GroceryTab is made by Deep Fortune Inc, a company incorporated in Canada. This policy explains what we collect when you use the GroceryTab app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The short version: your receipts are used to power your own insights — we don't sell your data.

What we collect

• Account information. Your email address and a password (stored as a secure hash), used to sign you in and sync your data.
• Receipt data. Photos of receipts you choose to scan, and the structured data extracted from them (store, date, items, prices, totals).
• Purchase & subscription status. Whether you have an active GroceryTab Pro subscription, so we can unlock your features.
• Basic usage data. Aggregate, non-identifying analytics about how the app is used, to help us improve it.

How your data is processed

• Database & authentication: Supabase, with data stored in Canada (ca-central region).
• Receipt processing: receipt images are processed by our API on Cloudflare and analyzed with AI services (such as Anthropic Claude or Cloudflare Workers AI) solely to extract the items and prices on your receipt. Receipt content is not used to train these models by us.
• Subscriptions: purchases are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play, with subscription status managed by RevenueCat. We never see or store your payment card details.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your personal information.
• We don't share your receipts or shopping history with advertisers.
• We don't collect data we don't need for the features above.

Data retention & deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active so your history and insights keep working. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing developer@deepfortune.ai — we complete deletion requests within 30 days.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under Canada's PIPEDA), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Contact us at the address below and we'll help.

Children

GroceryTab is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update this page and note the new date above.
